Dr. Weinzweig’s impressive credentials speak for themselves. He has written six textbooks and over 200 peer-reviewed papers and chapters in plastic surgery, including the highly acclaimed Plastic Surgery Secrets, 2nd Edition. His work has been translated into multiple languages, and he is recognized as one of the most prolific authors and researchers in the field.

Dr. Weinzweig, a native New Yorker, received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University and his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his Internship and Residency in General Surgery at the University of Chicago and his Residency in Plastic Surgery at Brown University. In addition, Dr. Weinzweig has pursued additional areas of expertise by completing fellowships in Hand Surgery at the University of Connecticut and Craniofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He is Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of many prestigious organizations including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Craniofacial Surgeons, the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Weinzweig has been in practice for over twenty years and is an Emeritus Chairman of Plastic Surgery and former Residency Program Director. Beyond his impressive academic accomplishments, Dr. Weinzweig is also committed to making a difference in the world. As the founder and executive director of Komedyplast, a non-profit organization, he has treated children in Peru with complicated craniofacial defects who would otherwise go untreated. He has led annual missions to Lima for the past 15 years treating hundreds of these children.
